Sillicon Carbide

• Thanks to big hardness(Mohs Hardness Scale:9.5~9.75) of the ceramic of carbide series created by strong covalent bond, it is used as various abrasives; in addition, silicon carbide has not only big wear resistance , chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat conductivity with less thermal expansion but it also has a strength in withstanding a thermal shock.
• Further, it is also used as a resistance heating element as it conducts electricity well.
